United Kingdom 2010 Discovery 4 3.0 TDV6 XS Auto Causeway GreyDiscovery 4
Expensive Day

Currently driving Mrs Fitzy’s Golf as the Discovery is in for repairs, so I’m in need of cheering up on both counts!

The Discovery went in for assorted repairs today and I knew that no news wasn’t going to be good news....

So far it needs a new steering rack, new module for the handbrake (emergency release pulled a few weeks ago) and still waiting to hear about the faulty air suspension and corroded brake pipes.

As for the Golf, it is so dull and I’m yet to work out why the motoring press seem to love them, as more bits of trim have broken on that than the Discovery and it is all cheap and horrible.

Roll on getting our BMW i3 (to replace the Golf).

I’ve got to agree with you there Andy, the Golf is as dull as ditchwater, with pretty average reliability, yet it’s so popular Confused

Hello John, I just don’t get it, even putting the roof down doesn’t lift the gloom. I hope you are loving the Range Rover?

Stick - 2010 as per my details and 99950 miles, so it has done well, just wish it could have spread the faults out a bit.

Hello Stew, hope all is well with you? I did think that driving home tonight when the road was completely white at one point. Land Rovers really pick their moments! Laughing

My wife also has a golf too albeit it’s an R32 so it’s an absolute hoot to drive. It gets wrapped up for winter now we have the D3 and we’ve found the D3 is saving us money in fuel costs!

It surely saves money on fuel cost. All the times it brakes down and you will take public transport😂😂😂 🙈

We have a 1.6 diesel! Although it actually goes well and is much better and nicer to drive than the Mini it replaced, it’s just the interior quality I don’t like and how the inside of all VW Group vehicles seem the same.

As for public transport, since moving to Cornwall I’m not sure there is such a thing Laughing
