Good, good. I must admit, Im starting to get cold feet. I won't pull out but its all flooding back to me now, the high tax, the extortionate amount of fuel it will drink, the repair costs.
I must be mad!

You forgot the depreciation, the dealership network... and the ribbing from the forum if you ever post anything remotely sensible I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

Obviously sensible to get warranty on a secondhand Disco. The whole year sounds good too. But like all things the devil is in the small print. On what they do and don't cover. When I got mine, it came with a three month RAC based warranty, which is nothing to do with the RAC, I later discovered.
Had a suspension problem after a month, they paid out for a new compressor with very little resistance, over £600. I wouldn't have slept without one in those early days.
Now, well I fall asleap counting those warning bongs, and dream it just says "have a nice day" 1955 SWB Series 1 86 inch

That seems a good price, did you have to negotiate it? I just got a quote online and matching what you have came out at over £800.
Does core cover a crank failure?

Just did quote for mine, warranty up April, core with all boxes tick uncapped 0% excess and contribution
£604 for 1 year £1542 for 3years 😀 that’s not much more for 3yrs cover , for what I was paying for 1yr with Landrover on my D3, was wondering what to do when my warranty up? Change? May keep now with these prices, if they pay out for crank failure?

Ive been reading the site but a quick question.
If my car was to explode. Do I get the aa to take the car to my local independent and quote for work, then contact warranty direct?
Or do you have to use an approved garage etc? There is so much to read on the site its a bit baffling.
Maybe i should call them.

I used local independent garage for new propshaft, they just contacted WD for approval by phone , needed copies of last MoT and service invoice. For new rear diff it went to local LR dealer as they had direct computer link to WD so less hassle for them.

The only issue I’ll have is trying to put 1000 miles on the clock for the warranty to kick in. I barely do 1000 miles a year!
