Hi Mark, I just got back from there yesterday! We were on holiday, and one thing I did notice was the lack of D4's, lots of D3's and FFRR as well as Sports. All V8 as as far as I could tell. Also spotted quite a few Defenders.
Gareth, There are a couple around, saw a beautiful LR3 HSE for sale at the weekend but now its gone. Dubai is nice especially at the 'cool' time now.
Mr. Chilli, I know, The landmark would look good out here... nothing like it!
Dangerdave, notice you are in UK, thanks of the advice, I know how to use google... was interested in opinions from Disco owners out here with the V8s and local LR dealersLR4 HSE 5.0 V8 Alaska White

Nice place indeed Mr T. Was there 3 weeks ago.
But don't chew gum in the subway and don't buy the wrong ticket......
Indeed not that many LR4 or LR3, much more RRS and FFRR.
Also noticed a lack of T Landcruisers....... (great story there.....)CLUB ILLEGAL CAR WASHERS
The land cruisers are usually the worst driven cars...
Had one come past us about 120 mph on the central reserve of a 4 lane motorway!
....the irony was that I was in my colleagues 550hp Shelby Mustang!
Would buy something real quick but too many cams and £100 a pop
Coming back out? Rugby sevens this week and a public hol on Sunday for national dayLR4 HSE 5.0 V8 Alaska White

Mr t
Friend of mine lives there
She just sold a hummer and bought a new Nissan Patrol. There is no accounting for taste
I could email her and see if she is happy to be contacted to give you local advice ?

D4 Orkney my13 - gone
Stornaway D4. Gone, Didn't like it at all
D3 silver manual. Loved my first LR

Dan, seen a bit of road rallying, usually by Supercars outside the malls.
World Superbikes - Take away delivery mopeds
Formula One - To quote Ayrton RIP 'If you dont go for a gap, you are not a taxi driver anymore'
...loads of offroading in Wadis and lots of trips arranged to Oman, which apparently like the lakes
But alas.. no rallying yet... I have asked some Pals if we should set up a WRC round here
Mark, if your friend has any general advice, I would most appreciate that.. Why no Landy? LR4 HSE 5.0 V8 Alaska White

Mr t
I have dropped her an email to see if she can offer any general advice.
No idea why she went for Pathfinder - I tell her its because she has no taste whatsoever, She has even put "spinners" on the wheels. I ask you D4 HSE - Aintree Green

Hi,
I friend of mine has just recently relocated out there and just bought a brand new Toyota Fortuner. A car thats not available over here.
He was telling me LR's dont have a great reputation for reliablity out there (what a surpirse??) and they dont seem to be as tolerant out there as us to their little bugs...
When he went to collect the Toyota he collected it in the showroom where he was greeted with a glass of bubbly and the car was covered in a red cover and it was like some VIP ceremony. A very different car buying experience apparantly.
He's now off looking for some sand dunes!!!!
Have fun...
