Hi Folks,
we were thinking about an Evoque for our daughter.
With a budget of about £6-8k I was thinking a 2.2(old engine) and leaving the Ingenium alone
The reports seem mixed, some say they are great and give little trouble, whilst others warn to stay clear.
There are two in a local garage.....
2012 'pure' spec, 2WD manual (£5500)
2013 'dynamic' spec, 4WD auto (£7000)
Any thoughts?? 2000 D2 TD5 - big red tractor (2004-2007)
2006 D3 - sadly missed (2007-2012)
2010 D4 - lovely colour Nara Bronze (2012-2018)
2016 D4 - best of the bunch (2018-2024)
2022 DiscoSport 45mpg, but its not a D4 (2024.......)
1997 Def 90 - softtop (2011.........)

We have just part exchanged our Evoque dynamic and in fairness it was brilliant.. only sold it due to the git Mayor Khan who wanted to charge us 12.50 a day to use it within the M25..
Deffo go for the 2.2… great engine and supremely reliable. The one in our daughters FL2 has now done 190,000 faultless miles.. regular oil changes and they seem to go forever..
Had the Evoque for 5 yrs and 70,000 miles … only thing we had to do was a pair of front springs after a pothole winter and a battery…other than that car was faultless and was sad to get rid of it..
The dynamic has 20 inch wheels and look great but beware quality tyres are expensive.. you’ll be paying £200 a corner however the dynamic is a nicer car than a basic Pure version..
Go for it.. great car..

Thanks......great advice (as always on here)
The dynamic is 2 owner and looks like its had services at
5k
14k
23k
27k
35k
50k
68k
84k
101k (incl timing belt)
118k
and is currently on 124K
Might look for a alternate set of 18" / 19" rims to reduce any tyre expenditure (I prefer more rubber & less rim anyway!!) 2000 D2 TD5 - big red tractor (2004-2007)
2006 D3 - sadly missed (2007-2012)
2010 D4 - lovely colour Nara Bronze (2012-2018)
2016 D4 - best of the bunch (2018-2024)
