Every warning light you can think of...
My LR4 diesel has done 42K miles. Today it started with warning lights for HDC/SBC/EBD/DSC then gearbox fault, speedo doesn't work, suspension height lights go out etc etc. If I stop and restart it is all ok but the engine check light might remain on.
It is most unnerving because at 100KPH it lowered the suspension itself! Which genius thought this was a goo idea?
I have installed a new battery the last time this happened a month ago and thought this was the cause but it seems not.
Asking the local LR garage is about as useful as asking my cat but I have finally asked them to take a look but they clearly have no idea at all and could only say it will take a long time.
Does anyone have any idea what this could be due to? I am seriously thinking of scrapping the car since I don't need this level of unreliability.
I have the IID tool but it doesn't help me too much. I can see the codes but that is all

what are the code you read off of the car?
might be good way to start fixing its "cold"
might be simple as broken wire in the harness

I checked the wheel sensors - all good.

My initial thought was wheel speed sensor as I had it happen to me previously. I'd changed my pads/discs and had distrubed the cable to the wheel sensor and when i turned the wheels on my way home from work, I cut through it and everything lit up on the dash and the suspension dropped.

Possible. I stopped the car when this happened and tried to restart and it wouldn't show any signs of life until I pressed the brake much harder than normal. I will try to check this out. thanks.

I checked the wheel speed sensors using the live reading from IID and all is OK.
I do have a brake wear sensor which is bad and have not removed it but it should really have no effect should it?

14.5 _ 14.7 according to IID when plugged in.
How should I check it? The battery is four weeks old

14.7v would be charging.... IID will show voltage without the car running.
My D3 had a lot or error messages as a result of a low battery. Alternatively it could be a bad "circuit". Check that the terminals are tight on the battery, and also clean.
+1 for that ... however, get brake switch sorted first given the "have to press harder" comment..

why not try hard reset on the car and see the outcome
i had show a few month ago due to condensation on one connector when dried and cleaned hard reset solved all issues

You mean the reset using the IID tool? If so, will this mess up anything? I assume it would also clear the ODB memory?
