European Police Software Upgrade for V8 - does it exist?

A salesman at LR in San Francisco mentioned that a software upgrade exists for European Police. A service tech supposedly told him that it trades emission compliance for +/- 30 extra hp. I have a call into the service center, but they cannot comment. Have any of you heard this? Thx

mmm not heard that one. I would be surprised if they used the V8... more likely the TDV6 and a TC job done if they wanted extra power.

If its plain clothes police or secret services... would not surprise me if they did a more aggressive job on the power Shocked Shocked

This is not something i have heard of before, it sounds interesting but i am very skeptical.

2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Auto Adriatic BlueDiscovery 3

This is not unheard of....as a retired police officer I rountinely drove cars with additional power not available to Jo Public.

We were also approached 18 months ago but a Police Force in Wales who had purchased 15 TDV6 Disco3's and wanted them upgraded.

LR 'got the Censored ' and the conversions never went ahead
