Error codes

My Disco 3 has an engine fault that puts it into limp mode so cannot drive it anywhere. I have plugged it i9n and the most relevant codes are P115A and P115B
Can anyone tell me what these mean?

Have a look on auto codes

https://www.autocodes.com/p115b.html

Looking at p115b, you’re either completely out of diesel or youve got a faulty fuel sensor

Fuel rail sensor?
I know the fuel gauge is faulty but I put £40 fuel in and have only done 35 miles or so.

Try resetting the codes and see what happens, with some issues, car will prevent starting based on the last available status, clearing them “may” Allow it to start, otherwise it’s time to get the spanner’s out Smile

Kevin the car starts fine just cannot rev it.
The faults were cleared and the following codes reappearsed:
P0405
P115A
P115B
B1B02
B1C10 Relates to drivers door mirror.
B1C26
B1C32 Relates to steering column
B1C34 Relates to steering column
B1C57

My initial thoughts were the in tank fuel pump, I need to remove the tank anyway to replace the sender and as I have bought a spares car that was tomorrows job I was just going to switch the fuel tanks completely.

P0405 is your egr, if that’s faulty it would give you issues pulling off and reving.

Just thought, if it’s your fuel sensor I would think it should also be giving you a low fuel reading on the dash as well, as the fuel gauge is fed from the canbus so would get the same data as the engine management system?

What fault lights you getting on the dash? Amber EML is related to emission so that would relay to the egr rather than the fuel sensor

Nothing on the dash at all. On my drive home after I put the £40 in it the car when into limp mode a couple of times. Simply stopped it and restarted it and cleared the fault.
I can either replace the EGR or simply blank it off if it is causing a problem. I suspect if the computer is reading it as a problem I will need to replace it before I blank it.

I had something similar - my car wouldn't rev more than about 1500. I stopped the car, raised it, lowered it. turned off the ignition and then back on and it went fine. My brother reckons for some reason it thought it was in hill descent mode?

Was a Snap On reader.

A mechanic was over today to buy my RR Sport and brought the code reader to read the faults on it so I took the opportunity to get the fault codes read on the Disco while he was here Laughing

I now have the car running and will rev however as soon as I put any load on it it comes up with Engine system fault and goes into limp mode.
The codes that came up were P115A and P115B. On that basis I have changed the fuel tank an in line sensor or value and the Fuel pressure sensor. Can anyone tell me where I go from here? I once had a similar problem on a D2 and that turned out to be the accelerator potentiometer. That is my most likely next step unless someone can come up with something more concrete.
