EPB sticking
Our MY12 D4 was idle for a few days last week as wife was in hospital (all good !). I jumped in it at the weekend and stuck it in reverse to head out driveway as usual. The EPB would not release despite me revving fairly hard for a good few seconds. I thought I must be in neutral but it was definitely in reverse gear. It eventually released with a loud thump and has been fine since.
I had it checked at service in october as it had been creeping forward after EPB was applied at lights etc (still not sorted !) but no fault found then.
Any thoughts ?

When mines been parked for a while and because its a manual i always release it manually instead of relying on the auto release, it's not often mine releases first time if its been stood a while so i reply and the dis engage at least another once maybe twice, its always worse for mine at this time of year because of the dreaded salt !
Try manually releasing and see how you get on ?Only dead fish go with the Flow !

I leave enough space to be able to go forward if the handbrake is sticking, seems to release better than just going backwards, bit of a rocking motion.
Always release manually too.
Does it mainly after a wash or left for a few days when it's been raining.
I woke up to a mangled motor on the EPB this morning. LR Assist came out, freed the handbrake to get me on my way and I now have to take it to the dealer. Great service from LRA though...Enterprise getting me another D4 by midday...hopefully the new one!!!!Front Runner Rack, OEM Ladder & RAI, Tuff-Trek Foxwing, B'rakhah Ingonyama Expedition Trailer, RLD's Spare Wheel Protector, Bodsy's Bars, Empty Pockets! I had one from Enterprise a few weeks ago, black 13 plate, if you get the same one make sure they've fixed the drivers side front windscreen trim. Mine came away and hit the side of the car on the motorway. It had previously had a replacement windscreen and several of the plastic clips were missing! Bodge job!
