United Kingdom 2008 Discovery 3 TDV6 XS Manual Stornoway GreyDiscovery 3

Sorry Folks Bow down I screwed up Big Cry forgot to mention pressing the foot brake pedal down Whistle anyway I have been out in the rain and sat there with pencil and paper and the correct procedure is as follows:

How to deactivate the EPB after you stop and switch the engine off

1/ Turn the Ignition Key to the II position (dashboard lights illuminated including the EPB Light)

2/ Press down the Clutch and Foot Brake Pedals and hold both DOWN.

3/ Select 1st Gear. (I have not tried selecting another gear!)

4/ Press the EPB Lever down and hold DOWN (the EPB light goes OUT and you hear the EPB actuator operate.

5/ Turn the Ignition Key to the off position and withdraw Ignition Key (the EPB light should NOT come back on!)

6/ Let the Clutch and Foot Brake Pedals and EPB lever up (the EPB light should stay off)

7/ When you open the Driver's door to leave you with see the panel between the Rev. Counter and Speedo light up with the message: ''Park Brake Off Lift Switch to Apply'', this message reappears when you come back to the vehicle and open the drivers, if you do lift the switch the EPB reactivates.

You can take it out of gear now if you want but NOTE the is nothing stopping your D3 rolling away Embarassed

The EPB is now deactivated Thumbs Up
