EPB Failure
Had a great day out at Tong yesterday only for half way round had my EPB stick on . All I got out of it was a loud squealling sound. Had to manually release using the wire under the EPB button. When you have to do this with yours you need to give it a real good tug until you feel a snap just like when opening the bonnet. Anyway the D3 is still under waranty so my question is will the EPB be covered.
Thanks
Andy

The first question from the stealer, following sucking air in through teeth, will be "Have you been taking the car off road, sir?". It might be a Land Rover but you're not meant to get it dirty!

There is a guide on here called the Bodsy Brake Bible which shows you how to adjust it yourself if you have basic tools and a bit of mechanical ability. Takes about an hour all in!

I used to get loads of issues with the EPB, that stopped when I found a dealer that knew what he was doing. And I pay for extra time for a full strip down & readjust rather than the tech just sticking a screwdriver through a hole.

I use my \\\\\\\epb all the time. Everyday in fact. No problem as long as it's adjusted.

If the EPB isnt used, you are more likely to get issues with it, especially around MOT time when the handbrake needs to be tested. If it isnt used, the shoes tend to seize up, then when the tester applies the handbrake, it doesnt release, sticks on and thats when you et your issues
As Bodsy says, if it is adjusted properly, then it shouldnt give any issues My D3 Build Thread

Mines started playing up since they used the Tapley tester on MOT.
Intermittently both amber and red warning lights on plus boinging I can live with that till I get time to strip it, but the worse part is as soon as you pull away the brake lights come on permanently. Stop and select neutral they go off till you pull away again. People flashing me is getting annoying now Faultmate MSV2 EXTREME
