Epb adjustment

Have read and absorbed the brake bible with regards to the adjustment of the epb as mine squawks when applying but not horrendously. So adjustment seems like whats needed for this.

My questions are due to where I live I can only have one wheel off at a time(sloped one way steet) so can I still do this that way and also do I leave her in park or neutral so I can turn the rear discs during the adjustment?

Yes you can. Obviously you need the EPB off, so make sure the 3 wheels on the ground are chocked well, you don't need a runaway 2.7 tonne 3 wheeled motor!

Edit, leave in neutral.

Should have said it is sloped from side to side but the run is flat. At a guess it is about 15cm difference from the middle to the edges!

Have just adjusted them. Dust cover is missing from n/s disc. Also that is the side that squawked. Still making the noise near the end of the process but did get quiter after about 10 goes.

Does that soubd like epb module on its way out or just new shoes needed plus dust cover?

Did you take the discs off?
Worth doing if you're going that far in- and dust off, rough up shoes, re grease then refit and adjust.
When was the last time they were cleaned up?

Its not just adjustment, you need to strip and clean and lubricate all moving parts, the fulcrum lever from the epb shoe is prime for seizing up, you need to make sure that both are free and that the spreader bar is free to move.

Didnt take the discs off. The rear discs were replaced about feb 2017 which was before I bought the car so dont know if they were adjusted properly then. Also do you need to bed in if your replacing discs but not shoes?

I will hopefully be fitting my Brembo's and new front discs mext weeknd so may well pop the discs off and have a poke about and a clean up.

I know the epb works fine as put on then put in drive and reverse and let foot off footbrake and it held fine.

+1 as Flack said.
The dust accumulates and causes issues.

Have decided that due to having to remove discs to clean will fit new shoes as no idea when they were last done if at all. Also ordered the new dust caps.

Just got to try and find a local quiet road so I can bed them in when fitted. Confused
