The LR 'Vehicle Enhancement Program' is a a bunch of software (and some hardware) updates for older D3 & RRS. As your's will be new it'll already have all these updates as part of the build
Then there's ECU remapping for increased torque and power. The two main companies doing this are JE Engineering and Turbochip, both advertisers on the site. No point in going into the for and against arguments here (plenty of other threads have already done that) but my recommendation would be to get a good few thousand miles done before even considering a remap, this will allow everything to bed in, the engine to loosen up and (if there are) any issues to reveal themselves. Also that way if you do get a remap done you'll be able to appreciate the difference a lot more
Si The End

The enhancement / reassurance programme is a LR driven upgrade of all existing D3's, implemented by the dealer network. New vehicles will already be at the same or higher software levels and have the hardware fixes included.
There are some Dealers that will apply and warrant the TurboChip upgrade to the engine mapping

No more speed, it's not a sports car (buy a RRS SC if that's what you're after), but quicker and smoother delivery. BHP up from 190 to about 240, lots more lovely torque The End

Some dealers got their stock cars 'chipped' - especially the demo models!
TurboChip said he did lots for one major chain of dealers.
I guess they take the line that the 'chip' is merely optimising the existing engine... Discovery 3 tdv6 7 seat Buckingham Blue
Had it since new - sold Jun 17 after 12 years and 214,000 miles
