EGR fault on bank B - with another code along side it. Both EGR related.

Light currently refuses to go back on - and it is running very smoothly. The friend said he would bet that the long journey helped - along with decent diesel (which is what is in the tank). He suggested a bottle of Wynn wouldn't go a miss - so I have thrown a bottle in the tank.

I expect it to throw the code again at some point - but it should be good for a few thousand more KM.

07/08/09MY vehicles (EU4) can now be blanked (provided there's no DPF) but it will require a software modification to remove the EGR function (and is sometimes done with emulators). Thumbs Up

Hi all, today the amber engine warning light came on (car has done approx. 18k miles), some proper journeys, mostly short trips.

It's booked in for next week for the brake recall, the dealer advised that, provided the light stays amber it should be ok. Any thoughts on a possible cause? I will cover a couple of hundred miles before the dealer gets to it and don't want to get stranded on the M25 in the roadworks!

The manual refers to the light being for petrol versions only???

Many thanks for looking Smile

I also have this light on my 09 plate automatic Disco 3. Came on this morning when I started it up, I had no power at all in drive it would only reverse. Switched on and off a few times and it did start to drive forward but the light remains on.
Do people think this will be a EGR valve too?
When driving it on Sunday it went into limp mode 15 times on a two hour trip, all the warning lights were on, nothing in particular. The garage I called said it could have been to do with a loose wheel nut and when tightened this seemed to sort it.. Can a loose wheel nut cause limp mode?

Thanks in advance for any help, I am a LR novice. I love it but so far it has caused me nothing but mither.
