Swap Allisport for RS500 and no patch for my EU3 engine and that's mine.
Fresh set of injectors has it going like hell.

New box and TC in 2 weeks time will be the final part and will have it going strong.

Remap Wanted

Evening all, Just wondering if anyone can recommend a remap for my 2005 TDV6. I am not wanting big numbers just not have to change up and down the manual box quite so much whilst driving around the Isle of Man. Cheers in advance.

BAS remap. I've had one on for over 120,000 miles with other performance upgrades and it has been faultless. Thumbs Up

BAS = Bell Auto Services, a site sponsor.

https://secure.bellautoservices.co.uk/stor...ap-tuning/

Other than that there is nothing else to do unless you want a 'bit more'. As you can see from my profile, I also upgraded my inter-cooler, blanked my EGRs and did a deCat. The old bus pulls like a train and is much sharper and responsive but its a bigger outlay.

Thanks again Moo I'll better get saving and have the intercooler done with the remap at BAS. Any suggestions on the air intake?

I also want a full breakdown of any problems I have inherited when I bought the vehicle, so does anywhere do a report or 100 point check or some otherway of giving me a glimpse into the abys as it where ?

Cheap generic maps start at £200-ish, up to £500 for a tried and tested, dyno developed specialist remap Thumbs Up

I guess most insurance companies differ on loading premiums for remaps? Any comments as to how remap affects premiums as rule of thumb

As you say its down to the insurer. NFU, APlan and Adrian Flux seem to be pretty good about it.

So the consensus is it well worth doing and your insurance company probably won`t recognize it as an out there mod ?
Anyone near Solihull want to quote me ?

I would definitely check with insurers first if i were you. I was staggered when I checked a BAS key fob control on heater and they wanted an additional £600 for privilege, I didn't bother. Thats with Bwiser

Remap issues

Hello!

I have a discovery 3 auto TDV6.

Was remapped on Thursday, drive home great! Although it did feel constipated if I pushed it too far!!??

Anyway,

Friday drove into work fine, disco sat on car park for 10 hours- finished work and drove away - 5 mins into journey at 70mph it stated F - Transmition Fault limited gears available (I think the max gear was 4th gear) stopped at lights, engine off and on again problem solved.

Saturday morning - 5 mins into journey and same again - pulled over engine off and back on and fine.

Sunday - no issues
Monday - 5 mins into journey same again, stopped at lights engine off and fired back up again all ok.
Tuesday (today) no issues.

It’s going back tomorrow to be looked at.

Any similar experience with you folks?

I feel the auto gearbox is much slower on the first start of the day and feel this caused the issue!

By the way, the auto gearbox has been flushed prior to the re Map.

It’s an 06 🤔

It’s like if the oil is cold and thick then the gear box is sluggish and until it’s warm it’s not smooth.
