Engine management system error and |
|
Engine performance reduced.
Got the first error message coupled with a significant reduction in power on Sunday. Turned the car off, called my Land Rover dealer (as that is what is stated in the manual) and then everything was fine when I restarted. Decided not to take it in as I hate them so. Have gotten the "reduced engine performance" message later the same day and again yesterday (Tuesday) and have taken no action (as that is what the manual says). I haven't noticed any actual reduction in performance.
Any ideas what this might be - I'd hate to have to take it in (out of warranty )
It's a gasoline V6 (not TDV6). Russ

MAF sensor?
Wheel sensor or connection problem?
Might be worthwhile taking it to your dealer to see what there IDS says is the problem.

she only gets premium (though that doesn't mean it isn't crap)
I seem to recall stopping a the stealer once for some issue that i cant recall and the service manager"knew exactly" what it was. cleaned some connector and sent us on our way. Pretty sure it was N/C so not sure if I have a service record. will have to check if i have any paperwork. Russ
