Hi All , I have an engine light just came on today and i checked the manual and it says that its only for petrol models? Its not the one with the ! mark on it just the normal amber one. Its driving fine still plenty of power but had a quick look through and there is a lot of chat about the EGR valves. It needs a service in a bad way for the last few thousand miles could it just be this

Same as what happened to my car last month, EGR stuck 20% and replaced under warranty.

I've just had exactly the same problem.
We were on our way up to the Lake District for a few days so were concerned that there was a problem.
Both LRA and Lakeland Land Rover said that it was likely to be a stuck EGR valve and not to worry!
Drove around the Lakes for a few days and back home with no problems. Our dealer has confirmed that it is a stuck EGR and it will be replaced under warranty 
Hope your's get sorted

mine turned on Sat LRA said carry on, book it in.
did 500 miles, dropped in, EGR valve, warranty replace in a couple weeks time 2007 TDV6 XS Silver

ours too - both of em, last week. Just waiting call from dealer to say got them, and to fit - both were blanked off by LRA as it was dangerous (nothing under 2000rpm or so) see other thread

Nice one thanks for the replys , got a friend to plug in his laptop and sure enough it came back with egr fault
.He cleared them but they came back a day later, going in to the dealer to get it sorted thanks for the help
