Hello all,
I am posting here since I think that there are more people that can answer my question here than on the D5 forum (for the moment).
I have a D5 with the td6 engine, but it is at 150KW rather then the standard 190KW.
Am I correct that this is the same engine simply with reduced power, or are there actual differences in the design of the engine?
I should point out that I am very happy with it, and am only asking out of interest.

Have you asked on the D5 forum? There are several European owners there and I am sure this has been debated already.

Not asked in as many words, but been through the whole site, and nothing even mentioned about the lower powered version of the engine.
I don't think that it was on sale in the UK in the D5, but to my knowledge it WAS on sale in the D4.
I just don't know if it is exactly the same engine as in the D4.
Where there any engine changes between the D4 and the D5 (other than the name)? Where they modified?

3.0l engine in D4 was SDV6
3.0l engine in New Discovery was initially TD6 and then from 2019 MY it was changed to SD6.
It's the same basic engine but the SDV6 and SD6 had twin sequential turbos while the TD6 had a single turbo. As to power differences don't think the lower power version was sold in the UK.

I think it was in the D4 commercial for a while, but not in the D5 here

I know that it was sold in the D4, but I was just trying to find out if the differences are mechanical or purely the "tuning".
I can confirm that it certainly drives well!!
