Thanks for the comments.
I got the runners from ironmongery direct; they were one of the only places I could find (and local to me) which did long runners. Not expensive at all £9 for the set. They are my second set as my first I messed about a bit and they never ran true again.
TBH, it took ages to make, but to make again now I have the size and know what works and does not it’s, not that hard of the job. It’s finding out what does and does not work. I had to grind down the tops of the bolts to allow the rails to slide freely, otherwise they catch, and getting a socket in there is tricky also, just takes time, if you don’t get it accurate, they can be a bit of a pig!
If I was to make one again and had the time and got a bit of training I would weld rather than bolt and rivet, I would also use something like ABEC bearings rather than draw slides. But set that aside, it does exactly what I want and what I designed it for.
I can still get access down the left side to the upper and lower cubby boxes, I store my Ozchairs down the gap and I can still get the right rear seat up to get to the spare wheel winch and storage space. The space above the fridge was measured to take a Wolf box nice a tightly, or a Bosch L-Boxx. I also have a horizontal shelf above the wolf box spanning across the wide of the vehicle, which I store pillows sleeping bags etc out of the way from everything else. CLUB DEFNER
