Hi All,
I still haven't got round to fitting my BAS EGR blanking kit.
But if I had an EGR drama whilst out and about, as an emergency measure, could I just blank off the top (butterfly end) pipe tapping's (I'm thinking easy to get to). I keep the kit in the car.

Yes, a 2p bit is perfect. I had a failure in France, and just removed the clamp from the top joint, prised the pipe out of the plenum chamber joint, and popped a 2p in. No need to refit the clamp, the pipe holds the 2p in place adequately. It got me home, without further issues. Engine warning lamp was on though.
