EMail Notification of New PMs
In the last week, I've not been receiving the usual notification in my EMail of a new PM.
My site profile hasn't changed (the notify of PMs box is ticked) and nothing's changed as far as my EMail account is concerned (I manage the mail server etc.). I'm still receiving EMail notifications of new replies to Topics I'm watching.
Anyone else having the same problem or should I be feeling paranoid!!!!Clubs Mantec, Tasmods, LEDS, AT2s on 18s, Maxxis Bighorns on 17s, Remote FBH, BAS. ReMap, BSS., RLD Personalised SWP., Safari Snorkel, Faultmate, Three Musketeers & MUD

don't want to teach granny to suck eggs and all that
but have you checked you junk mail
edit: I should have added that some places i normally get emails from seemed to dry up after i had done some updates, when i checked my mailbox more thoroughly, they had all been designated (not by me) as junk mail. had to right click and make them recognised addresses/domains to receive them normally again!I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.

I have a few PMs which I sent thet have not been opened (still in the outbox)
It seems some folks are not getting a notification of my PMs.“There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

If you've got all the settings correct then it can be only two things:
a) Spam filter on your account/PC
b) Your ISP/mail provider rejecting e-mails from DISCO3
If you can confirm that it's not (a) then I will investigate (b) further.
Note that (b) not a site-wide issue that's suddenly occurred, it is a ongoing minor problem affecting a small number of members.

Hi Martin
One of the PMs was to you, it is still in my Outbox. Sent 21 April.
Did you even not get a notification?“There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Got the notification fine - reply being sorted now, sorry.
What you're describing is usually caused by people who DO get notifications, as they read the PM in the e-mail and don't then reply using the site.
Those who don't get notifications will be told of new PMs when they next visit (via the popup) and probably deal with them straight away

A foodian slip, methinks I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Damn that iPhone spell checker, it's got a mind of it's own!!! Even read through before posting & read it as "did that", not "food that"!!!

Hi Martin
All my settings are correct.
I am receiving email notifications of replies to all posts that I'm watching
I was receiving email notifications of PMs until about a week or 10 days ago when they ceased.
We have an external spam/virus filter (Black Spider) which all of our mail routes through. I have just checked the logs to see if anything from the site has been picked up and quarrantined in the last week or so and there's nothing recorded. I have received about 20 PMs during the period in question.
Perhaps you can investigate further for me. Clubs Mantec, Tasmods, LEDS, AT2s on 18s, Maxxis Bighorns on 17s, Remote FBH, BAS. ReMap, BSS., RLD Personalised SWP., Safari Snorkel, Faultmate, Three Musketeers & MUD
