Ely, Cambridgeshire
Can anyone recomend any green lanes near Ely, Cambridgeshire?
Also would be interested in any local 4x4 pay and play sites anyone can recommend?
Not after anything to crazy, but would like to get her dirty!
Thank you

I can't recommend any but I'll certainly join you if you organise anything local-ish! ____

Great web site, but please excuse my ignorance and not being a map reader, what does a green lane look like on the map

Hi J@mes, yes ... but - I'm new to this but I understand that the fact that they're on an OS map doesn't mean they're open though... TROs can change the rules temporarily or permanently. Even definitive Maps held by CC offices won't show temp restrictions. Local knowledge and experience essential.
More info and help / guidance from more experienced members welcome...
Thanks. ____

Yep, very true - I go out and have a look for signs of closure - barriers, signs etc. Then if I am happy that it is open, I'll drive it, if not I wont! 2014 D4 XS

As long as you are not laning alone and recovery gear is on hand, don't worry about getting stuck, it's all part of the fun!

Is that really "can't" or "DARE NOT" ?
I'm in South Lincs and would also be interested to try "something gentle" to begin with ( and yes I DARE NOT damage SWMBO pride and joy

And I'm about 70 miles to the West of you but would join-in given enough notice!
I've done quite a lot of laning over the last 12 months but mainly mid-Wales which was awesome- though the hills are less high in Norfolk from recollection! I've also got some recovery straps... D4 HSE in Stornoway- love it. Jaguar XF, MG TF, D2 ES V8 and 2x TR7s for playing!
Gone- D3- a fortune spent and now a lovely car for it's new owner; D2 G4 replica- Tangiers Orange and survivor of 2 Pot Noodle Challenge's!
