Electronic parking Brake Service Mode D4 2016

Hi out there.
Anyone been clever enough to put a Disco 4 2016 Landmark late model into EPB service mode.
I need to replace the rear brake pads and my model relies on the EPB closing the pads onto the disc rather than the earlier version using drum within disc parking brakes. Big Cry
Regards
Tony

That's interesting as I have a 66 plate Landmark, registered in October 2016 so a very late model.
I have replaced all my discs and pads and my car has the normal drum brakes for the EPB.

If you have the EPB on the callipers then it’s not original fit to your car. The parts list makes no reference to them and the wiring manual makes no reference. I suspect you will find you do have a drum EPB, you just haven’t noticed it.

On the evoque you could apply 12v to the motor and run it in out with a second battery.

Assuming it is the conventional rear drum there is a video here from the PowerfulUK boys showing how to adjust them, including how to get into service mode.

They also link to Bodsy's Brake Bible on this forum.

This is one in a short series showing them working on Discovery brakes, so worth taking a look at the others too.

Hi Guys
I had a quick look under the car tonight although not with the wheels off and you are all correct, it has the drum within disk EPB.
I shall be tackling the pad replacement this weekend so thanks for all your help.
