Ejector seat mechanism under cup holders? |
|
I removed the cupholders from between the two front seats as they had been used as a crumb depository by my children. The inserts were a bit stuck so the whole unit came out.
Imagine my delight when, under the unit, I saw a neatly folded red strip of ribbon with a plastic handle on it which looked like some kind of emergency handbrake release or something? Any ideas?
THanks

if that's correct, then it's a bit boring compared to the Missile Release Mechanism or Emergency Ejector Seat that I was hoping was the case....

You must have the 8 speed gearbox as that is the lever to pull to get the gearbox out of Park Cheers Ian

G i discovered the red pull cord when I fitted a cubby fridge, i sooooo wanted to pull it, I thought it released the centre cover to allow me to get storage bin out. Good job I had sense enough to ask on the forum "should I pull this" well we have learned now to leave well enough alone
