Thats what I thought, gonna start on the WD40 for the next few days, then attempt next weekend I guess. Tawnyowl, now is it correct, just the 4 bolts at the bottom of the pipes, slip in plate n gasket, and bolt back up.
What gains did you get, any more oomph as well as a cleaner burning D3

Try pm to andrewW, or search 'egr group buy', andrew did have 55 pairs laser cut @ 50p ea last year, he was looking for follow on order if enough interest, dunno if he got any more though, but you could ask. Know your limitations, come closer to perfection.
Other wheels, Honda CBR1100XX Super Blackbird.

thought you "needed" to do the butterfly as well, otherwise you have no source of intake air. In standard form, its either via EGR recirculation with butterfly closed, or fresh air with butterfly open and egr's closed. so with EGR's blanked, when the car opens the egrs and shuts the butterfly, but you've got EGR's blanked, where's the intake air going come from.
use the "remove link, add screw" method (which I think I did first, as I couldnt get the butterfly spindle out )

Jase , Its best to remove the egr pipe clip at the top first and then undo the bolts and remove the egr pipe from the engine altogether and then fit the blank and gasket with a smear of instant gasket to hold it to the pipe.Start on removing the other egr pipe whilst waiting for sealant to go off.
I couldn't remove my spindle to take the butterfly flap out , so I removed the link and held flap open with a self tapper
Take your time and don't rush
Oh and I seem to be getting 2 mpg more
