If I were you, I'd get SC to remove the "chip" & get a refund. I'd have no faith in the product at all.
Use one of the well proven tuners that advertise here.
Just my 2p worth.

We at turbochip have never had this problem with any LR product. I can only suggest that you go back to the superchip dealer who did this job.

Hi Nick
Have you chipped a Disco 3 with a dvd player though, as I'm told not many disco 3 have them fitted. If superchip have no luck then I will drop you a line to do my car.

I have a DVD and never had a problem, and I cant see how the two could fight each other. Is it your dealer blaming the chip simply because they can.

Nick,
is it possible to affect the entertainment systems when installing an engine ECU remap ? Assuming the operator knows not to mess with anything else but upload the new engine map ?
seems to me to be very strange and a tad unlikely

Told by person at dealers who do you belive I say my mum she knows best.
Anyway all fixed sound, power, the FORDS going well again. The mystery solved pin missing out of the rear aux plug. It's funny how much bull shi~ you have to go through to find the truth. Poor old super chip spent 2 days trying to sort this out and he did say his remap was nothing to do with the sound going off.
Well top marks to super chip. LR not so sure?????
Maybe you should have checked when this was suggested 4 days ago then

If there is a voltage drop to the entertaiment control unit it can affect the operation of the system.
It is possible that SC did not measure the state of the battery before they commenced their upgrade.
If the battery voltage was below 11.5v then this could cause a shut down of the entertainment system which then failed to 'reboot' correctly once the work was finished.
As I said, 20 mins with battery off will shut down all systems fully and initiate a clean reboot of the system

Thanks for that my car was also in for the battery to be check as the low power waring was always coming up.
The battery was put on a day and over night charge and it has been good since.
