ECU Updates & Compressor choice
Using the IID I ran a list of the ECU'S info which I needed to send to GAP for something unrelated, and out of the list 13 of them said that their are updates available. And the RLM SUSPENSION had a CHOICE option under it.
First question is I know the previous owner had a new compressor fitted, does the choice option mean that the manufacturer ie Hitatchi / AMK has not been programmed into the vehicle by the installer? as I believe if not done it can cause premature failure of the compressor. Not with the vehicle right now so unable to do any further checks with the IID
Secondly has anyone paid for GAP ecu updates and is there any tangible benefit in any of the updates or are they best left well alone?

Good question, I'm in the same boat with regard to ECU updates available.
To be honest I did not realise they were subject to extra costs, I've been leaving things alone due to LR still investigating other issues and did not want to jeopardise that.
So ignoring the cost - what do these updates do/provide if installed?
