EBC Greenstuff brake Pads. |
|
Evenin,
Thought id better do my own post RE Brake pads as ive had a trawl and can't come up with the info I need.
So, service today threw up the need for some new front and rear pads for my 2016 Graphite model.
I declined the £700 odd LR wanted and ive decided to go the EBC green stuff route. So my question is can anyone help with deciphering exactly which FRONT part I need to order?
I have 2 choices it seems:
https://bearmach.com/front-brake-pads-dp62...r-ba-2220a
Or
https://bearmach.com/front-brake-pads-dp61...s-ba-2212a
Both listed as suitable for the D4. EBC site lists the harmonic balancer for my year but bear mach and brit-car list the other part number.
One part number mentions the harmonic balancer, here's a dumb question "how do I know if Ive got one?" do I need one? what does it do?
Also REARS I believe are:
https://bearmach.com/rear-brake-pads-dp615...s-ba-2213a
Many thanks

If you click on bearmach’s page “specification”, you’ll see what vehicles the brakes fit (“suitable for figment”). In your case you want the DP62123 ones in front. You’ll note they require 19” rims at minimum and are for D4 TDV6.
Anyway, you can check the same suitability on EBC’s page, https://ebcbrakesdirect.com/automotive/lan...16/1001793. The prices seem lower than over at bearmach.... just saying.

Thanks both,
I should have known that I wouldn't be able to use the cheaper part
Still a lot cheaper than LR parts.
Thanks again!

Surly you’d be better off with EBC Yellow stuff🤔
(Use them on a Ford Ranger and are superb )
Greens were suggested to me but on ebc website are recommended for “sport compacts and hot hatches “
Just a thought
Part no. DP42123R MY24 Defender 90 X-Dynamic HSE

Try EBC direct. Use the code PAYDAY10 today and if it works you should get 10% discount. I don't have any affiliation, they just sent me an E Mail offering the discount (ends today). I have bought from them previously. Rob.
