Try wrapping an orange with a piece of cling film without getting any creases Thumbs Up

If you watch a fully trained person fitting this to a Disco3 you will also learn how to remove all the door trims, window seals, opening glass etc.

You will need a heat gun as the rear window and rear side window film need to be curved slightly by applying the film to the outside and heating - once you've got the shape you then transfer the film to the inside. One hair, spec of dust etc and it's toast Thumbs Up

It's worth buying some - just so you can enjoy watching somebody else do it properly a few weeks later Whistle

No, I found him online. I'll give him a call. I'm no fan of 'home brew' efforts TBH. Wink

best to get it done by a prof company, I had mine done with limo tint and security film for around £300 including the 3 sunroofs

try Pentagon Auto Tint amongst others..

I think, and I may just be guessing here, that you posted twice?
I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

I rang TMR, he asked £275 + vat. Riders put me on to Film Coat, they're based in Bristol, but come down to Truro when Riders have a few to do, I can whizz mine over there if he's keen enough. Wink

Film Coat want £350+. Shocked

Tried some of this stuff on a previous vehicle .... bloody hard work and despite doing the rear window twice it still wasn't perfect Crying or Very sad , plus breaking a few panel clips etc, oh ... and nearly dropping the tailgate window ! Embarassed

I went for the limo tint as I carry a lot of kit around in the back but God it made the inside of the vehicle gloomy!

I would join with the consensus of opinion .... get it done professionally .

By the time you have wasted £30 odd quid , plus your own time @ £"x" per hour, it will really only cost you about £150 to get it done.
Something that doesn't drink diesel and doesn't cost a bloody fortune everytime it needs serviced / fixed. But hey ....I got a deal from the leasing company on my D3 that you guys can only dream about !

i'll vouch for TMR, more than happy with mine, he was a perfectionist about it to be honest, funnily enough he fell in love with D3's when finished with mine, he's now looking for one himself..

have a look in my gallery, mines dark, not limo, perfect for keeping prying eyes out and mutley nice and cool..

why thankyou rog, Thumbs Up

also agree with digilox, the limo is DARK, like REALLY dark, i find the normal dark is fine, to be able to look inside you've really got to squint hard and even then yo ucan't really see anything, then you get the shock of your life when confronted by a very wild looking husky's nose 2 inches from your eyes.. Rolling with laughter

Got mine done by Steve from www.autotint.co.uk for £200, I was going to go for the limo black but he advised against it and went for the 15% (next darkest), he said limo black is too dark in the winter. The 15% is good enough to provide security for kit anyway.
