Presumably this is the bog standard version ( as listed on my vehicle on Topix)?

If yours is a 2010 model year then you have a full power 245bhp bog standard only option available version. First letter of last 6 digits of chassis no is an A on 2010 and a B on 2011.Club Forum Criminal !!!

That is the same what i have listed. But then further down the list there is "ENGINE TORQUE-600 NEWTON METRE". When i check on Land Rover site the SDV have that torque. I think all Discovery 4 are SDV only the Commercial are TDV

All 10MY 3.0L D4 models are badged TDV6 but are the more powerful (245bhp) 180Kw version
Buellbeast details are bang on. A 2010 model XS-HSE is badged as TDV6 however it is the 245BHP. From then on it is badged as an SDV6.
How many people will this confuse? discodeeva

Re: DVLA V5C Showing TDV6 instead of SDV6

I just got my registration document which shows my D4 as a TDV6 instead of an SDV6. It's definitely an SDV6 but the DVLA said that the model designation details come from the manufacturer so I can't just ask for them to be changed. Any other D4 owners in the UK had a similar experience ? I'm a bit concerned because my insurance is also issued on the TDV6 designation whereas it clearly says SDV6 on the back of the car
Should I be concerned or just leave it be ?
Look at the 8th digit of the vin.
F = 245bhp non dpf
G= 245bhp with dpf
M = 210bhp with dpf
And if you have a M i can make power of the G for 499+vat which is a lot cheaper than the dealer can lol.

Bit confused because the last 8 characters of my VIN are BA56nnnn. It's badged as SDV6, V5 states 180Kw and ToPiX has it down as 600nm. In fact ToPiX also shows the "trunk designation" as being SDV6, so I guess the only potential issue may be MY10 vs MY11. Build date was 01DEC10 so I'm sort of hoping that they couldn't have accidentally built an MY10 alongside the MY11. Any easy ways to check ?2010 MX-5 2.0 Sport Tech PRHT

The 8th digit not the last 8 digits !
you should have
SALLAAA F or G or M is the 8th digit from the left
DIGIT 1 & 2 & 3 is SAL= LandRover UK
DIGIT 4 & 5 is LA = LandRover T5
DIGIT 6 is A = Standard class or J = Japan
DIGIT 7 is A= 4 Door or D = Commercial
DIGIT 8 is F OR G OR M = ENGINE
DIGIT 9 is a 3 for RHD auto
DIGIT 10 is B for MY2011
DIGIT 11 is A for Soihull plant built
and 12-17 will be your car, simples
But if your car is a HSE it will be the245bhp so only a badge issue only.

Pete, I was responding to the post regarding the letter prior to the last 6 digits, which in my case is A; however, the letter preceeding that is B so I just gave the last 8.
Anyway, your post has cleared things up nicely and it looks like I have (a) got a Land Rover (b) built in God's own country (c) got a MY11 .2010 MX-5 2.0 Sport Tech PRHT

Well the dealer has followed this up with Land Rover Sales Operations and they have confirmed that all Discos are registered with SMMT as TDV6s so there's no need to change the V5 or insurance details. The dealer has kindly forwarded a copy of the email so it looks like all D4s will be registered as TDV6 rather than SDV6.
