DVD Map read error

Got this error travelling up to Yorkshire tonight. Luckily I knew where I was going. It first appeared outside the house whilst stationary, so I removed the disc and swapped it for another, but the same error remained.

I had a thought. Some of my stored points may have been entered while I had the 2006 disc in. I upgraded to the 2008/9 disc last October. Could it be that some of the stored data points were incompatible with the new mapping data?

Anyway, I've deleted all my stored points and I will see how I get on tomorrow. Hope it works, I have to find CFB's place!

You have a dirty disc. Remove it clean it and pop it back in. Oh its under the passenger seat.

I would believe it if I hadn't already removed the disc and replaced it with another. Same error on both, hence rules out the dirty disc theory (unless both are dirty in the same place!)

On a different note, and slightly off-topic, has the date been set for the Driver Training Day's at Boughrood yet?

Cheers,

And... without faffing with the passenger seat and popping the DVD out - can you tell off the head unit what version you have?
