Dumfries and Galloway GRR.

Hi folks, we are heading to Forest Estate in Dumfries and Galloway for our next Green Road Run it has been a number of years since we have had a GRR here. We have access to 46 kilometres of land, suitable for all Land Rovers including those with road tyres, there are some challenging and muddy sections which are easily avoidable.
Land Rover only for insurance purposes. Sign on 10.00am, cost will be £7.00 please bring a picnic lunch with you.
Meeting place Forest Estate, Castle Douglas, Dumfries and Galloway DG7 3XS. Once in the Estate meeting place will be sign posted.
If you could let us know if your intending on attend just so I have a rough idea of numbers.
See the SLROC web site for details.
Worth joining the club for this and other days out.

Just googled the website, and yes it's 8thDec (thanks SR Thumbs Up )
At St Johns Town of Dalry, it's closer to me than I thought (in fact I'm walking up there tomorrow).

Only issue for me is ..."there must be a SLROC member in each vehicle".
Not so keen on that part of it though!

Membership is only £25.
An off road day out at a private site will cost you over £100 so its great value.

Had already emailed Dick Carter earlier this morning.
And yes, that's my thoughts, a great day out for just over £30.
See you there. Wink

Well, now all signed up for this on Sunday.

So [although now short notice] just a 'heads up' in case anyone hasn't seen this and looking to attend.

Thumbs Up

Had a great day out today with SLOC [Scottish Land Rovers Owners Club] of which I'm now a proud member. Wink

Big turn out..... and many more turned up after this pic. Shocked

And this was the team I was leading.
I nicknamed them [lovingly] "the Softies"....
.... but I'm sworn to secrecy .... what goes on in the forest, stays in the forest! Laughing

Here's the link to a small vid from my Blackvue on a run over a forest track.

Nice one Thumbs Up

It’s a stunning part of the country. If anyone is interested in marshalling the Borders Rally it’s a great weekend and you get to drive the course as well Thumbs Up
