Guys - all these new fangled colours, too many silver and black ones out there, you'll be able to pick them up dirt cheap in two years time, but now, true LR colour (or the closest they now do), got to be Tonga Green. Both my previous TD5 were Epson Green. True Green Oval. (now if only I could find a bloody dealer with a touch up stick for it)

EPSOM GREEN Shocked Shocked Shocked

That is a shocking colour, usually accompanied by a more shocking beige interior......

Sorry Al - but since this has been changed to colours - your piccies of the D3 in green look smart 8)

Blue not bad to be honest although I hear you with black and silver - though silver/black cars depreciate much less I am told by a man in the trade.

Tonga Green - not seen up close (apart from Al's pictures) but if it's a true LR colour you'll be wanting a white roof or a rag top D3 next Wink

Meanwhile - is it widely assumed then that an auto is best - I don't really care that much - either will do and on that note I'll close this and you'll all be glad I started this thread....... Whistle
D4 HSE....Probably, but not quite decided yet.

Changed my rather bright Montecarlo blue D2 recently. D3 Lugano Teal has some strange properties, especially under artificial light. really wanted a dull matt oxford green but NA. Go auto - its a good box & suits the D3 whereas an auto D2 was an oxymoron.

If I were buying new, I would go for Arctic Frost.

At the end of the day, when it's as dirty as mine, it really doesn't matter what colour it is...

Nick

my last TD5 was a Landmark (53 plate), epson green with alpaca beige leather. I like the green, but with Alpca in the D3 looked awful, so went for ebony.

United Kingdom 2007 Discovery 3 TDV6 XS Manual Zambezi SilverDiscovery 3

Today was momentous

tested manual and auto back to back, and it has to be manual

my dilemma, do I buy the demonstration model, Cairns Blue, cream leather 5 months and 5k miles, or a new one in errr Silver with ebony cloth trim, the cost is very similar for both, and with incentives the right side of £30k

DT, That's a mighty fine rear bumper you have there. Is it an LR Oz option or an aftermarket jobbie?

It is an aftermarket job. Kaymar who specialize in replacement steel rear bumpers. A number of Oz forum members have this bar fitted to their D3's. Most buy the standard black, I had mine colour coded (powder coated) to match the D3. I have not fitted the spare tyre carrier/s.
