dual battery system: warranty q |
|
Am planning to travel and expedition out of my D4 with the family, so looking at dual battery/charge systems.
Main question: The car is new to us and has a LR Approved Used warranty - does messing with the under bonnet gear to free up the battery tray and wiring in the split charge system invalidate the warranty? Of course, I could ask them, but I don't want to alert them just yet!
Second q - what is people's preferred choice? Traxide, or national luna, or other?
thanks!

addenda: I know I can potentially use the national luma all in one solution, but I'd rather have it wired in properly and under the bonnet.....

I've ran three new discos under full OEM warranty with Traxide and it has never caused an issue with warranty claims 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Traxide is the kit of choice. On a d4, you need to do some extra tinkering with the existing modules that sit in the engine bay if you want to fit it in there, otherwise run a cable to a battery box in the boot. Bodsys Brake Bible

ring them up and ask them. put 141 in front of there number and ring them. will come up as blocked. you don't need to give them your details about asking what effects a warranty . or ring a LR dealer at the other end of the country so if you do take your car to the stealers then it wont click that you've asked.

Thank you very much DG and Bodsy.
Hi xcentric, I can only comment on my own kits.
Because all my kits are set up as an “Add-Onâ€, none of the kits infringe on a new car warranty. 2008 TDV8 RR Lux + 2009 D4 2.7
