Dual battery system relay, which one?

Hi guys,

I am currently busy with my dual battery system and i have been doing some research in available relays, and there are some different ones although, i can't really find any differents in them apart from prices that is.
We all know the Traxide system, National luna, IBS, but i also have been looking at the Cyrix relay.
The Cyrix is widely used in yacht and ship systems, but the 100A one only costs a quarter of the other ones.
And they all seem to do the same thing, but where does that price differance come from?
I am not interested in a battery monitoring system.

My question is, does anybody advantages or disadvantages on any of these systems?
Could anybody give me a reason why to choose for one or the other?

I know that this topic is offen discussed on this great forum but, i couldn't really find my answers.

Hope you guys can help me out here, Thumbs Up

Chhers, Ruud

I use a PAC200. It is a continuous 200a solenoid. I have a timer (used for security systems) to delay charging the aux battery for nine minutes so the starting battery charges 1st. The timer wont start until thecar is started based on 12v present on the ignition ckt. It separates out when the car is turned off. I used a tie in to the parking sensor module. I also use an override switch to force the two batteries together for winching or jumpstarting. I will send pics if you want.
