DRL mod
I fitted the wiring link mod on my 2010 to get the leds as DRLs with a switch so I could turn them off when required, noticed tonight that with the switch off the fronts are still on albeit rather dimly, is this the norm?

hi, sorry can't shed any light on your issue but was wanting to know if you could point me in the direction of the wiring kit you used?

Hi
If you have a look on the Powerfuluk YouTube channel tgey have loads of useful videos, and one us for different DRl wiring kits. Can't comment about any as I've not fitted tge, but them seem pretty straight forward.

check if there has been water getting in the headlamp ?
other than that, if you disconnect at the switch does it still happen ?.

Hi Hardware with everything back to normal it still happens, i have noticed it doesn’t happen all the time and doesnt go off when the D4 goes to sleep, I’ll have a look round headlights I think I had a Cornering lamp fault last time I read the codes
possible, given other lamp error code, it's a poor connection to earth. might be in the connector but you may have to trace the earth wire(s).

Read the codes B1C99-15 and B1C98-15 general electrical failure circuit short to battery or open, had a look round but nothing obvious, both cornering lamps working fine, appears to be a common fault code, possibly related to faulty instrument cluster, my speedo needle doesn’t light up so could be related, anyone ever found a fix for the codes or the leds staying on? I’m gonna go pull some fuses see if I can find the circuit keeping the leds on

Don’t suppose anyone has the wiring diagrams for the lights? So far the only fuses to stop them being on constantly are the side light fuses themselves, ive removed the drl mod and the leds are now brighter, guess the mod was providing a path that pretty much dissipated whatever’s causing this, had the rear lights out nothing spotted and doesn’t affect the leds staying on, I’ve found some earth studs by the front lights all appear fine, if I could get the drawings I can check each section/ switch/ relay/ earth in turn

Well that was a fluke.......checked over the fuses once more and spotted the fuse for trailer lights, turns out this was the problem, I have two sockets for trailer electrics one black one white, white one looks like an addition (any ideas why I have two?)
Traced the wiring back from the sockets and found the below, not sure on the extra plugs guess they’re for options?
I wondered if the ‘timer relay box’ was faulty as a after few checks I only had 9v across it, checked the 12v feed to the earth stud near by and got 12v so routed another wire to the stud and connected it up to the relay hey presto problem gone, not sure if it was the relay or something else connected to the 0v but all appears well now, final checks later in darkness but looks to be fixed
Thanks for all your inputs if I come across the wiring diagrams I’ll add a link

Perfect appreciate the link, Turns out the relay is for powering fridges etc in your caravan when driving. I’ve no need for it so will disconnect it if it misbehaves again!
