Driving abroad - headlight problem

i need to cross the channel in a few days ... assuming no new rules from BoJo or Macron ... and I've switched passenger side to flat beam but the driver's side is putting up a fight !

Suspect I'm shafted as this is the unit one of the bulbs exploded in, so it may be that there's remnants of the bulb stopping me or the hot fragments have melted the plastic somewhere awkward.

However, trying to be a bit more positive ... are there any tricks to make it move if it's just being reluctant because it (perhaps) has never been altered before ?

And I know DSL will jump in and say "don't bother" and I know it's the light least obviously aimed wrongly ... but it's in my head now that I should sort this Smile

sorted.

brute force and ignorance win the day. again.

it was so Censored stiff it bent the re-shaped tent-peg I was using to pull the clip upwards and inwards, so found a hefty s-hook in the garage and bent to required shape with mole-grips.

not only did it not bend but it was thick enough that I could push it with fingers close to the clip (which is Censored sharp when you press it Sad )
