I've a piece of pipe insulation that I keep in the door pocket, and slip over the handle on long journeys, makes it better.
Hhhmm..... Yes, this idea did cross my mind but with regard to my initial query..... Has anyone found a Practical and Tasteful Solution?
10 to 2, 20 to 4, surely our preferred driving position is irrelevant, it's an 'arm rest' a place to rest your arm, which in that respect, I suppose it does what it says on the tin, but we pay all this money for the car and then have to resort to a six inch length of pipe insulation for comfort??
I think not!!
Kepp thinking lads...... someone could be onto a winner here!
Yes, it's an arm rest, but I believe that it's not there for use when the car is moving.
Best Wishes,
Peter

Coincidentally, I ran across this on a US forum post by a spammer and kind of laughed, but I guess it really is an issue for some. Wouldn't think it'd be too hard to make something similar, maybe a bit more stylish to the D3 though.
I'm not so good at giving advice...may I offer you a sarcastic comment instead?

That is EXACTLY what I need! There is just nowhere for my right arm to rest. I end up wedging my elbow onto the top of the door, but it ain't comfortable.
I wonder has anyone manufactured those? If not, I'm gonna make one.
Andy.
