Driver door wont unlock using interior door handle
I had to replace the driver door actuator on my new D3 because it wasn't locking on the fob. All went well and now the fob is working fine.
The current problem is, if you are in the car, you drive off, the doors auto lock and when i come to a stop, I can't open the door from the inside without either turning off and removing the key (causing the central locking to unlock) or pressing the unlock button on the dash. If I pull the interior lever, it remains locked.
Is this normal? The passenger door unlocks if you pull the interior lever as I think it should (engine can still be running and no need to press any buttons). Have I failed to connect something up correctly when putting it back together after changing the actuator?

I would hazard a guess you have got one of the cables slightly wrong.
I did have to remove mine totally a second time as I had got one cable that kept popping out of the white clip.

It will lock and unlock using the door lock manually, but not if its locked itself as you drive off. So the lever will operate the lock.

The inner cable is not fitted correctly, in the mean time disable auto lock by pressing the end of the indicator stalk It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

I tried looking for this options menu earlier but just ended up scrolling through the mpg etc. Had the key in position 2 is that correct? Its a 2007 GS if that makes any difference.

It could be either end check both ends.
It is in the menu somewhere, just keep pressing until you come to it, I am sure it's called auto lock.It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
