I've recently noticed that the rubber seal on the 'A' post on mine is ripped and tatty over a 100mm section. I can't think when or how it was damaged but damaged it is and fixed it must be!
Q.
Is it possible to buy a length of the material and piece it in? I don't really want to buy a complete door seal if I can avoid it!
My black gaffa tape repair is doing an ok job, but a proper repair is the solution.

I'm glad to know I'm not the first!
Did you have the lump that had been torn out or did they repair it?

Sorry, you misunderstand me!
The material has been torn out at some time, probably when the window frame had frozen onto a section of the rubber seal and the door opened. The section of rubber has gone - leaving a gap in the sealing section.
Although I'm not getting draught or water ingress, my repair is more of a cosmetic fix.
