Door Open Warning Light
Hi, I'm new to Land Rover world having just traded in my old Focus for a Discovery 3.
I'm loving it but there is a small issue in that the door open warning light stays on despite double checking all doors, boot and bonnet. This means that when I press the remote locking on the key fob it the central locking works (checked all doors) but the alarm doesn't arm and the horn sounds.
It is under waranty but I just wondered if I'm doing something wrong or if anyone has a quick fix?
Cheers

Which door is it saying is open? (you can see it on the dash display)
If it's the driver's door then on mine it was due to the loom between the door and A frame that needed reconnecting securely.
Next time it happens try jigging the rubber covered wiring.I see no ships........

Thanks SpiderBaby.
The light displayed shows all doors open (I thought it was a standard light and not door specific?
No info screen on 5 seat base. Try opening and slamming your bonnet first -very common problem

Tried slamming the bonnet a few times after reading another thread but no luck.

On the bonnet make sure that both sides have 'clicked' in place. The latch on my offside doesn't even though the bonnet is dropped from about a foot. Mine needs an extra push downwards (without buckling the metal!).

The bonnet catch sensor is almost always the culprit. It can be cleaned with WD40 or if that does not work the plug can be removed and shorted with a paperclip or similar.
Only if that does not work should you start looking at doors.
