Door open message

Had my car washed today by the same people I've used for years and as I drove away I got a warning message "Rear LH door open". I checked the door was closed which it was but the message wouldn't clear. I had the lock on that door replaced less than 6 months ago admittedly with a pattern part. Now I can't lock or alarm the car. The rear doors lock manually but the fronts wont. If I press the locking button it just springs open again. Does this mean the new lock is faulty or could there be another reason for the problem? Also is there some way of locking the car manually? I used the remote to lower the windows thinking I could just reach in and lock all the doors manually and then shut the windows with the remote but they won't close except by using the buttons in the door.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
