dont stealers just :censored: you off - are they trained this way

My baby's been into the local stealers for a bit of warrenty work, nothing major, oil seal (which they've got to order, as usual, not in stock), but other "issue" was investigate play in steering rack rod end. Get back to collect, and service man says "no play in that sir", issue could be down to you having RRS alloys fitted, non standard you know.

Well blow me down, as right outside his nice shiny showroom window is a nice shiny D3 SE for sale, with guess what, RRS alloys on it, and with 255/50x19 103 rated tyres!! I very obligingly pointed this out to them, and left with him looking rather dumbfounded.

Dont you just luv em.

What really pee's me off is when you book it in, tell them what's required, and then when you get there (or an hour after when they ring you at home), they say they haven't got the bits and need to order them Evil or Very Mad "Should only be 2-3 days, sir" Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Censored Censored Censored Censored Censored Twisted Evil Thud

yep, thats just par for the course. They knew from when I booked it in on tuesday that this was coming in for a nearside front driveshaft oil leak - Derrr, wouldnt it be a good idea to have a nearside front driveshaft oil seal ready. Now I've another trip back next thursday to get it fixed.

I am sure that some stealers take the first visit to check out your not lying to them.

I must say, I never had anything like at Lancaster, Reading. They love my wheels and were even taking photo's to show other customers, plus they noticed the TT sticker and I got an approving nod/wink!

Loose feel to the stering could be ball jpints better after mine was replaced and most surprising after ARB bushe stirups were replaced with modified ones. Surprised
