Well, I actually bit the bullet and paid someone else to do it. Lower rear Bush replaced and embarrassing squeak is gone.

I have a split rear door seal. The one on the body of the car. A few concerns about getting it off and putting on a new one.
Any top tips in replacing? Tools? Removal method? Getting new one on? Was it an easy job and has the new one gone in well and staying in place?
CheersGary

Today it went from "covered in mud up to the radiator tops from the LRO Show" & "scratches down all sides due to green-laning":-
All the way to "3 tonnes of silt on the drive" and "polished up nicely thanks to the bargain Amazon polisher and bottle of Meguiars" plus "replaced broken number plate screw":-

Today's fun was fitting a new oil pump along with oil / filter change plus changed the front diff oil while I had the belly guards off
Last week it was a new torque converter
I'm slowly learning my way around the D3 and finding most of it isn't as bad as it first appears!! Fitting an alternator should be an hours job - but when you first look at it you think "How the hell.....!"

I bought George's (TruckerJoe) D3 off him, and over the last couple of weeks I have done the following.
Oil change and filters.
Cabin Filter.
Changed lower control arms at the front along with track rod ends.
Hunter 4 wheel alignment.
Gave the seats a complete deep clean, steamed and cleaned with Furniture Clinic's cleaner. Vaxed all the carpets.
Gearbox full flush and adaptation reset. (Amazing! I had been looking for a drivetrain clunk, propshaft? diffs? Transfer case? etc. etc.? No, it was the gearbox, now all gone. No more clunks if you nearly stop and then pull away. Going through the gears you can't even feel it change now. Amazing difference!)
Come up nicely for 15 years old and 150k miles.....

Have decided to sell it though and get myself a D4, I have a 2015 BMW 5 Series Touring, but in all honesty it hasn't had a look in since getting the D3.
I thought I had bought a 16 plate D4 SE Tech Norwich, I was going in to do the deal on the Monday after trying to speak to someone for 3 days. Said no deposit needed, will be there Monday. Got an email Monday morning saying "Hi Guy, just to let you know we sold that car yesterday."
So annoying!!
It was 43k miles and £22950, not seen another one anywhere near that price.
What is it with LR dealers?
I have been trying to buy my Dad a Range Rover Sport from LR Droitwich, been calling and emailing since last Friday. They had £3k finance contribution last week, I said "We will take the car at full asking, no trade in, will take minimum finance to get the contribution, let me know what you need from me. We are in Norwich, so lets do the deal over the phone and we will come down and collect it."
I have given up, sales guy dealing with me missed the cut off for offer. So I said just tell me your best price we really do want that car, see if you can do something?
Not come to me, called back on Tuesday, his day off, his manager took over. Leave it with me he said, I will get it sorted, sorry for the mix up.
Not heard back.
I called today to see if the car is still for sale, it is. Bizarre.
I think the problem is they know I don't want finance, no paint protection, wheel insurance etc. etc.
I am their worst customer, fair enough, but have the manners/balls to call me back and say "we don't want to sell you that car."

Took the Kids and dog for a walk In Wester Ross this afternoon. Still a few NC500 nuts about. This one pulled off road near me, quite a nice Merc and pulled out again without realising he was cutting off a corner which had a rock protruding. Much grinding as the nearside sill got damaged.

Early start for Munro walking... Sleeping in the D4!
Actually quite cosy in there! Although will need work out the FBH to come on for when we get up, ice on both sides of the windows!
