Hi all
I have discovery 4 and would like do guard, however, I refuse to pay dealer price and fitting.
I'm going to source one myself, this site, eBay or web.
My question is how easy are they to fit myself and does anyone have any pictures of the fittings and brackets in place, or any advice.
Many thanks

I went for the Travall half height one and found it to be easy to fit and good quality with good instructions.
Previously in the D3 I had the LR full height one which annoyed me because it is a bit of a pain to take out if you need to carry long items with the second row seats down (without the dog in the back obviously).
The half height one gets round that problem but guess its personal preference on whether you prefer the additional security of the full height one vs. the pain of getting it in and out every time you need the seats down to carry large items.
I purchased the Travall one direct from their website as they had a special offer on at the time.

I'll tell you tomorrow how easy they are to fit, I got a good one with all the bits for £50.
The one in the Fl2 was pretty straight forward to fit so I'm not expecting any major problems.
Here's the instructions, it's the best I can do at the moment

Hi J77
Thanks for this, do you know if the load cover will go back in with the full dog guard in place?

Fitted mine on Sunday and yes the load cover does go back in, leave the fixings slack to allow you to lift the guard as high as possible and then slot the cover in, its tight but but it does go.
Incidently its best to drop the rear seats down and take ithe guard in via th rear doors, and best if you can get another pair of hands to assist you when putting the guard into the vehicle. There are 10 types of people in this world ~ those that understand binary and those that don't.
