It would slow them down a bit for sure... but as with most things ..if they really want it they will get it 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Thats kind of what I had in mind ,thinking of the security glass on the rear as well ,if they want it they will get it but it will stop opportunity thieves .
Is it the standard cargo divider .
Thanks Mick

Certainly deter the opportunist This is the standard divider and door but I chose to change the door and lock around and have it on the nearside so when open the dogs would be closer to the pavement.21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Can't think for a second it would deter anyone other than by its looks. The lock is crap (it isn't a lock) and the door could easily be removed from its hinges. Plus, it unscrews very quickly. I suppose you could adapt it, and bolt it in, use a chain, etc, but you still have a window open on the side. As you say, you could use a 3M security film to prevent someone breaking the glass, or rather to prevent them being able to get in through an otherwise smashed window. It's very effective indeed, but don't use it on the door windows.PAGODA

Agreed ..but I think that an opportunist that just smashed a window would have great difficulty in getting in...if he got the tailgates open however then it would just add a few minutes to the task 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

I use a standard full height LR cargo barrier / dog grill with Superglass on the three rear windows to help slow down potential thieves. It's much safer now you can properly dead lock all the doors on the D4. The Superglass works particularly well on top of factory privacy glass so that it's much harder to see if you're carrying anything. Bottom line is that if anyone is really determined they'll get in somehow, or even take the whole vehicle, but no point making it easy.
