Spoke to a couple of dealers last week.
Apparently LR are running some kind of offer on early chassis number vehicles in stock at dealers. I'm not sure of details, but Bradford (Farnells) mentioned it as did Guy Salmon in Sheffield.
Basically it seems that early build chassis number cars can be sold at a decent price. I was quoted £27,200 for a base 7 seater metallic- so about £2,250 off list price. I've not tried to squeeze the price yet.
It also applies to some others. I was offered a base 5 seater or 's' model on the same deal, as my local dealer didn't have a base 7 with the right chassis no.
Worth asking at your local dealer if you are interested!

Dealer has confirmed: the deal is on 'old' chassis number models.
Either £1,000 off, or dealer will fit a roof mount DVD player (LR part)
I know which one my children would prefer!
