Discovery 5 255/55/20 Pirelli All Season Tyre alternatives ?
Ok Recently purchased a new Discovery 5 and looking to replace the Pirelli Scorpion Verde All season tyres 255/55/20" as from previous experience on my D4 in the 19" they just did not cut it due to the fact we live at the top of a very steep hill on an old farm via private road which is predominantly covered in mud due to farm traffic and our beloved local council will not clear during the winter! so I need something with a bit more grip .. I have been looking at the Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs but given the "Q" speed rating max 100 mph I believe that fitting these could/ will invalidate my insurance should I have to make a claim ? Would appreciate any suggestions on alternative tyre choices .

Rustyrabbit, how are the tyres going? I'm looking at replacing my 255/50/20 Pirelli Zeros with 255/55/20 Pirelli Verde All Seasons or GG AT3s so I'd be interested in your thoughts.
Currently I'm leaning towards the AT3s as they have the 3pmsf for winter and look more 'off road' styling.
Thanks.

Morning Shepheam, The AT3 have been fantastic..we have recently had a fair bit snow and ice and like i said we live at the top of a private farm road which the council does not treat and as a result we see deep snow and ice ..the Grabbers have been faultless !! I passed an isuzu pick up on our hill yesterday struggling with the snow..i did stop to offer a tow but he refused and he reversed back down !! They have fairly aggressive tread so get a good grip but so far have not notice any increase in on road noise. For me they are the best all round option on the market. hope this helps.
