Discovery 4 TDV6 3.0 Brake Vacuum Pump

There is an excellent post in the D3 section regarding removal and installation of this component.

I have been advised that this is not possible on the D4 without removing the body. Could someone please confirm whether this information is factual.

Also is the process documented for the D3 applicable to the D4.

Appreciate any advice.
