Seems like high-level rear aircon (look at the roofliner):

Those roof vents are the same as the ones in my 08.5 HSE with the rear air con package.
They keep falling out if the kids turn them too much - they found that out ten minutes after I took delivery and I went mental thinking they had broken my new toy. Major apologies and ice creams when I realised the design was poor and they had not been that naughty
I agree that the two knobs either side of the gear lever look like 12V - I think the graphic printed on them is a plus and a minus sign top and bottom with an icon showing which is which inside the socket. Looks a little geeky to me - whats wrong with "12V DC"?
On the headrests, you don't get the side handles now if you buy the RSE kit from new. Real sod trying to find seat covers (even LR ones) to fit as they are all designed for head rests with the handles D3 - 2008.5MY HSE, Stornaway Grey, RSE etc - all the toys

That only applies to the 2.7 Auto versus the 3.0L Auto.
The 3.0 Auto is still exactly the same (mpg & CO2) as the current 2.7 manual, i.e. rubbish.
As they seem to have abandoned completely the new chassis/body integrated as was rumoured 2 years ago, and it still weighs 2.7 tonnes its no great surprise, but in this day and age I would have thought they could have done a lot better personally (well clearly they can't with the budget they have or they would have).
What I find really weird is no 3.0L manual. Yes cause I want one, but I mean from the LR perspective, if they had a 3.0L manual in the adverts they could put "fuel consumption from X to Y" and X could be a lot lower. As it stands now their D4 adverts will have the same bottom CO2 figure as the D3, which hardly looks like an improvement!
Question is, can the touchscreen control an iPod, that would justify the upgrade for sure

Manual gear box may be an option like it is on the current auto as standard D3's

Manual D4 is only available in a low spec 2.7In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

From what we know by reading the press spec sheet and PR (which does not show / list all the options available).
We will have to wait and see.

The spec sheet lists the engine/gearbox combinations available as they have separate emissions and consumption figures, 3.0L/manual is not an available option. Have a look for yourself:

Yes I saw this - I posted the pdf in the gallery myself in the first place
All I am saying is that the spec sheets does not show what available options there will be for Discovery 4.
There may well be an option to have a manual like you can today on the D3 with a standard auto box.... 'may well be' meaning there might, its possible, we don't know yet.
Of course this also means that there may not be an option of a manual gearbox.
The spec sheet we are reading today was put together for the press and not for potential purchasers, so highlights the standard mechanical spec, performance and emissions.

Yeah fair point.
As I ranted above thought if there was a manual option (hence lower emissions, hence good press) they would have included it (in my opinion)
I am sure once the price list is released no one will care about the options list anyway

Maybe the new engine produces too much torque for the manual gearbox which is why it is only available as an auto box which is rated high enough to cope with the extra torque?
Hasn't the Torque on the 3.0 TDV6 increased to 600Nm??
That's a huge amount of torques!!!!!

Could be, but usually its a manual that is able to handle the torque better than an auto... Audi have a habit of releasing manual box high torque diesels before the auto is release.
Either way, the 3.0L is likely out of my price range unless LR Finance are doing some good deals in 18 months time.
