DISCOVERY 4 HSE - NO DAB RECEPTION

Hi there guys - would be great if you could point me in the right direction please. Owner of Discovery 4 HSE 2010 for two months now, all of sudden today after receiving a bluetooth phone call the DAB went to no reception, different bands, autotune etc do not work, oddly station lists appear in the ensemble etc but nothing connects and constant 'No reception'. I've run diagnostics and have got B1D5514 FM Antenna Fault - although FM works fine, likewise all other audio does also. Very strange to happen all of a sudden, its very cold weather here at the moment - could this be affecting it at all? What should I be looking for?

There are different aerials for dab and fm - check all the connections on both sides of rear quarter panel as a starter for 10 👍

Great thank you, do the quarter panels easily come apart? just a bit of prying and plastic tabs I imagine?
What am I looking for first off, just lose connections of ones that may have fallen out, i just find it so strange for it to occur just after i got off the bluetooth call, maybe just coincidence?

Re coincidence maybe worth a hard reset first? https://disco4.com/wiki/Hard_Reset

You shouldn’t need to move trim - you should be able see connections from window - here’s some info I’ve lifted from another thread:

Thank you for the help! Ideally want to try and avoid the hard reset first as I presume along with this my settings, memory seats , date time etc are all going to go as well? In the diagrams you sent, I presume these connections are under the headlining trim then? Are these particularly hard to pop out for access?

DAB is very direction sensitive, have you tried a retune while you are travelling? Try in a different location as with DAB you can lose the signal at the side of a building for instance. Failing that try a hard reset.
Surprisingly you are not the first person have mentioned this problem this week Shocked
You will only have to reset the clock with a hard reset Thumbs Up

I’m weary about following that hard reset procedure in case I somehow mess it up, I’ve read it’s easy to cause issues if not done correctly. I’m a gas engineer so I’m not a novice to tools etc but its our only car for my partner and rather avoid potentially making it dead hah

I have tried the retune in several areas also, just stumps me how sudden it was and mid journey too so not like it’s happen after being parked up for a while

Also diagnostics is now reading antenna fault - does anyone know the difficulty in accessed into these connections presumably in head lining?

I’m not to sure about DAB Ariel, but FM is in the rear quarter light glass, check the push on connector where the leads go into the roof lining on both sides, a long shot but will not do any harm.

That happened to mine a year or so ago. Then it started working again all of its own after about 30mins , weird and not really bothered me since !

It’s becoming quite annoying now - it’s happened again today, fine, I stopped partially, come back in and now no reception - I don’t know if it’s to do with the rain or the boot hinge?

Hi,
This happened to me last week, working fine one minute stopped the next and hasn't worked since.
However it did coincide with me hoovering the inside, are there any connections under the front seats which I may have disturbed?
